JUST before the lunchtime rush on Thursday, May 20 Ammanford firefighters were called to Crisp and Fry fish and chip shop after a fire broke out.
Ammanford police were forced to close off Wind Street while firefighters tackled the flames.
Firefighter Harrison of Ammanford Fire Brigade, said: “Two firefighters entered the building wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames which did not take that long.
“The property was mainly smoke damaged.
“Ammanford police closed off the road while we made the area safe.”
Nobody was injured in the incident which is believed to have been caused by the range catching fire.
